Budget 10-15K Smartphone for an oldie under 15000?

Hi, I'm looking for a smartphone for my dad, who is not really tech saavy but he just got an allowance for 15k from his company to buy a smartphone.

I looked around and found Le 2 and Redmi note 3. At the moment these two are the ones that I'm considering. The phone I'm looking for is for a tech newbie, so no need for hardcore customization features and the like. It must let him do the usual stuff without confusing him too much. 4G, dual sim, big screen, good camera are a plus. Android Marshmallow would be an added bonus.

I noticed that the Le 2 doesn't have a 3.5" jack. That's a bit of a concern. But otherwise it looks good.

I'd like to hear some suggestions for devices that I might have missed. Also advice from tech shopping veterans would be appreciated.

Redmi note 3 is currently the reigning favourite in the budget category you mentioned. It is VFM and a wise choice as well.

RN3. You may wanna look at the R3 Pro which would be on open sale next week as well. Also Mi Max - dunno if this is on sale though, has a 6+ screen.

redmi note 3 has one feature which sets the fonts size large and keeps the UI simplistic. you can also go with moto g4

You can get any phone. Change the launcher to something like BIG launcher etc. Will make it easy for use.
Many phones are also coming with in-built "easy mode" like Mi phones.

Moto G4 plus considering fingerprint scanner will be easier to unlock the phone.

Also Moto G turbo considering dust and water resistant features.

Or wait for new moto z play.

If size is not a problem, add Mi Max t the mix.
