WD TV Live Media hub

Think of it as smart stb or fire stick, but 10 years ago, with inbuilt storage and usb playback.
Has inbuilt 1 tb hard disk. 2 usb inputs. Can connect to internet via lan cable. Has various apps.
Can access network drives and nas for network streaming.

Bought it in 2011-12 not sure.
No warranty available. Has some scratch marks on the sides because I opened it to check the hdd type.
Lost the original power adaptor, got a 3rd party power adaptor.

Boot loop issue-
Has a bit of a quirk, since most of its internet services and phone home servers have shut down, it goes of some sort of boot loop if ethernet is connected to it. It keeps on trying to connect back to its home servers. Would only boot if ethernet removed. It would also just restart it self if ethernet was connected after normal boot.

The fix was to roll back to an earlier firmware, do a factory reset there, then update to latest firmware using usb.
Only caveat is to not factory reset the device, that seems to trigger its boot loop with ethernet. (did the factory reset on older firmware).

I have fixed this and now it works/boots with ethernet connected. Works as a network drive and stream from network sources now.
Just don't factory reset, otherwise you'll have to do all the firmware down/upgrade to fix it and get ethernet working.

Only doing local sale, no shipping.

Edit: Adding internal and hdd pics for those who are interested.
