Some very stupid questions about setting up Wi-Fi

Guide
Bear with me, but I felt it would be better if I created another topic rather than waste my money.

I'm currently using MTNL wired broadband via the D-link 502T router they have supplied me. I connect to my laptop or Desktop using the Ethernet cable. Now I want to set up a wi-fi connection in my house for use with my laptop/tablet/phone. I tried setting up an ad-hoc network/using connectify with my laptop but they would not work.

1) Is this a good buy for 1500 bucks (shipping included)? Don't need much range, will be in same room for most of the time.
ASUS 150Mbps Wireless-N Router RT-N10 WiFi -3 Yr Warnty | eBay
Or should I get this for 1250 (shipping included)?
Belkin F5D7234sa4-H G Wireless Router - 3 YR | eBay

2) Would I need to do anything to get Wi-fi up and running? I'm a bit confused how exactly I'm going to set up the Wi-Fi. Do I plug in one end of the Ethernet cord into the router and one end into the PC and set up wi-fi for my other devices from the PC?

3) I'm not using a network card or anything with my PC, I'm using the mobo's NIC, would that be a problem? I don't care about my PC getting wi-fi, I just want other devices to be able to access it.

Its very simple. if those router have ethernet Ports, then one cable from the modern goes into the router,& from router to desktop one cable.
Now all your device would connect to router for internet.

& from desktop/laptop you can login to router's settings page & set password for wifi, for security.

PS. I'm on mobile, so didn't open those links of routers :p

1. I have the belkin one. Works fine . There customer support is good.

2. A router has 4 Ethernet ports so you can connect upto 4 devices using Ethernet .

3. That wont be a problem .

Get a router and set up this connection :

Modem ---->>>>>>>Router ===== Wireless ( So Laptop , Ipod , Mobile )

Router to Computer using LAN Cable .
