Just checked the Sony India site and the SLTs are officially launched with bill and warranty !!! :D

The A33 is very close to the US price but the A55 is rather overpriced. :(

But still I am happy they finally launched them in India. Hope to see some reasonably priced lenses to boot ! :)

Sony did say to dpreview they do read the forums.

Yes the price if the A55 is a lot more then the US.But i guess the competition for it the EOS 550D is priced similarly.
A33 price is about same as thailand the place where its manufactured,it also the same price in MEA countries.

@Adder - The Canon 550D is priced cheaper at around 45k. But I am still happy they at least launched the cameras in India. :)
