Spambots raiding various internet forums using BSNL IP's?

Ever since I shifted to a new BSNL plan, I noticed that a few forums I frequented had banned my IP.
One of these forums was Guru3D and I finally decided to have a talk with the admins. This is the reply I got.

Hey there,

Correct, half of china and india is blocked these days with IP and NODE bans. Each day roughlt 10 spam bots come from China, India or Russia.
Once spam bots succesfully penetrate the site, we block the node.

Sorry but I'm not unblocking, your IP range actually is in the top 10 of spambot abuse.

I get IP's in 117.196.x.x range and am located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Can any other members using BSNL from Ahmedabad corroborate this?
Has BSNL finally gotten huge enough to be a favourable spambot hideout?
 
Same here. My ip is usually in these subnets - 59.178-179.*.* (MTNL)

Banned in Guru3d, OCForums, possibly more..
 
cant blame bsnl when the lamers using it for spamming have increased.

hope their comps crash every week when they feel like spamming.
 
I am banned in Guru3D, OCForums and lots.. It's our tough luck.. Use proxy man :D or use relakks
 
OCForums loads fine for me.

So far I have come across 2 forums that have banned my IP.
One is Guru3D and the other is RaceSimCentral. The latter is being restructured since over a month now and hopefully the bans will be reset.
 
This is old news.

India is 2nd place I believe from where spam originates. A lot of hosting sites have put bans too.
