Hi guyz

Abacus mailed me this price.

Sparkle 7900 GT 17,000/- plus 4% VAT which is 17680

3 yrs warranty

Not a bad price but im Skeptical abt the Sparkle brand. Any reviews for the brand credibility & thereon the card offered ????

I guess sparkle is a new player amongst gfx manufactures, right ??

Thx

Its well known value brand in SE asia. Seen lots of shop stock it there on my business visits there.

Its supposed to be a value brand so dont expect miracle bundle from it. I know people here will say avoid at all cost.

Try to find out who are the distries of the sparkle cards. If distries are well known then it might not be bad buy as it too carries 3 year warranty.

You might want to consider Leadtek ( But beware they are exiting the GFX card marker and soon will be replaced by Foxconn )

ahh missed that in your post.

Really it should be a 100% referance card.

If distries are Abacus then you shouldnt worry too much. At the moment RMA of ASUS and MSI suck more than them here in India.

look in the market section, there is an exclusive offer for TE members and this card is for 16250 + 4% tax.

Also, that price isn't that big a deal, 19-20k(sub 20k) gives way to Asus if you know to ask for the right price.

Its a decent brand, my cuz in melbourne used an FX5600 128 MB card for a couple of years (doesn't game). Sparkle sells quite a bit in Australia.. top notch chennai used to disti sparkle around 2~3 years back

This is frustrating. I have 17k lying in my pocket and i cant get a freakin decent feedback from Abacus. I contact there seller and they tell me that the price is 22k inluding.

Please help me, which number to contact who can give me that price of 17k-19k

Contact Prime ABG and tell them they quoted a price of 18750 a few days back, it may work, for somebody was quoted this price, I did this and they quoted me the same price + tax

Whoever is buying a 7900GT right now be better aware that most cards are dying in no time. Run deep freeze from 3dm06 and the card is permanently frozen :P.

Any references to site prooving that ????

Nopes... its not limited to deep freeze either. Its the voltage regulators that seem to overheat and die on the cards. Happens quicker on overclocked cards than stock ones. I think someone on TE already lost a leadtek 7900GT.

Another strange thing I am noticing is nearly 90% issues with Evga cards, although after sales support for them is prompt..

^^One of the reasons for that is evga sells the highest volume of pre- overclocked cards. Even BFG and XFX cards are dying.

Hmm, after reading all this I wouldnt touch a 7900 GT in India, knowing ou RMA policies which are screwed no end.

I think this thread needs to be stickied, hence all 7900 buyers can be informed.
