Laptops Spotted: HPtx2001au and HCL mileap Y series

Ok, so i visited the new chroma near my place today :) (aundh,pune)

The HP tx2001 12" tablet PC is here. (update to the tx1000) This one has touch input and all. @ 49k all incl.

Wheres vishalrao? hes might be planning his next lappie upgrade ;)

Also spotted the 7" HCL Y series mileap on display (NOT to be confused with the x series - thats the classmate PC)

Intel ULV A110 @800Mhz

1Gb RAM

80Gb HDD

Vista premium.

Seemed to be ok for basic tasks.

BUT: 36k!!!! :rofl:

EeePC FTW :)
 
When the thing was released to public, it was quoted at 29k odd if I am not wrong..Also this one has a touch screen IIRC!
 
oh crap, just 6 months ago i got the tx1302au for about 60k :(

maybe i will sell it to my uncle and get the tx2001au :)

i read the touchscreen is way better and it might be a wacom which means easier to work with linux...

i will wait a few months before deciding whether to get this....
