SSE/SSE2 support for AMD Athlon XP

hello, i have a bad feeling in asking this question but here goes,

i'm running an AMD Athlon XP 2600+ (winXP-SP2) and just tried to install 'Adobe Creative Suite Production Studio Premium' and it would not continue as it says i don't have SSE/SSE2 support.

is there a patch for this by any chance?

i'm planning a chip/MB upgrade in december but right now its kind of a bummer that i can't run this program :(
 
the athlon XP has SSE support, but no SSE 2 support for 32 bit athlons:( though its there for athlon 64's , and no, there is no patch for it and there never will be ... its a hardware thingy
 
yup, the response i did not want to read. nothing personal of course.

ah well, gonna get a athlon64 dual-core in december which should do me for another 2 years.
