ssh password for cpplus dvr/nvr

I have a CPPlus DVR that is connected to my home network. I need to download a bunch of video clips from the DVR, and the only way to do that is to first playback the whole clip and then record it while it is being played in their mobile app. I was just casually browsing on the management webpage when I found out there's a setting to enable ssh access. I turned it on and tried logging in via the password that I used to access the web management console, but it didn't work. I checked the manual for the product, and it only had information about how to enable it; nothing about the username or password was mentioned in it. As a next step, I called their customer care number, and they had no clue about it. The DVR is installed in a cheap rack, which is not easily accessible for me and I don't want to take it out and plug the drive into my system.
