Monitors Suggest 1080 LED MATT LCD display

Hi guys, my dear old CRT blew up last night.

need to buy a LCD now.
I'll buy it in Thane ( or mumbai)

requirements
1. MATT finish screen panel ( Very important)
2. 1080 resolution (for movies)
3. Good A.S.Service ( Samsung, dell etc)
4. 9-12 hours/day use.
5. Movies (mostly) and office use. Not much into gaming these days.
6. Feature known as Image size in samsung

also i need a monitor which will allow me to shift between 16:9 and 4:3 depending upon the resolution i select.
this is mainly for gaming, coz my sys can not run all games at full hd rewolution. i hate to play at 1024x768 streched at 16:9

I don't have any consoles, nor I'm planning to buy one.

I use my devices till they die, ie I don't upgrade coz a better one is available in market, so it should last long.
CRT was 8+ years old

Can I get an IPS panel in 12K approx?

(just a thought : 22" MATT IPS panel ?? :) )

Thnaks guys.

Well the options that you have for a matte screen monitor with a ~22" OR above display are [all are TN-panel based] --
  1. Dell ST2220L ~8500/-
  2. Samsung B2230 ~8000/- [lacks a HDMI-IN if I remember correctly]
  3. BenQ E2420HD ~11500/-

For IPS-panel monitors sub-12000/-, this is the solitary option --
AOC i225Fwe ~9500/-

Hope this helps, Cheerio!!

Here's another IPS panel within budget-Philips IPS LED monitor E-line 21.5"-9.5k-Buy Philips IPS LED monitor E-line 21.5 54.6 cm in Mumbai India

philips ips looks like nice deal, but its response time is 7ms. don't you think it's bit high?
will it be ok with occasional gaming?
how's philips A S Service

Just out of curiosity, will 14ms typical and 7ms G2G response time affect gaming ?

Anyways, thanks a lot guys for the help.
The purchase has been delayed a bit.
(Sadly my 15" Samtron 55V (10yr old) is working fine and I'm forced to use that only. She says I'll watch less movies :( )
(friendly advice to men: Never ever open a joint account :p )

See if you can find a LG IPS225V.
There is another option,Philips 227EQPH,I am not sure if its cheap and cheerful. But saw some review saying isnt that bad.
