Friends,

Pls suggest a Featured Mobile Phone for a Senior Citizen.

Requirements -
  • High Ring volume
  • High and Clear Call volume
  • Dual SIM must. 3G enough (zero internet usage)
  • Long Battery life (forgets to recharge everyday!)
  • Torch (optional)
  • Hardy build
  • Good brand

Thanks for your suggestions. Highly appreciated.

Micromax X744 (2G+3G Dual Sim), the keypad is all separated to avoid unwanted presses and also got a great 2k mAh battery. Auto call recording also available for better security. While I would avoid brands like Micromax for higher models, I have never had problems using brands like these for their feature phones (Used a lava mobile which served me well for years, probably stopped production since I can't find that model).

Micromax X746 phone does not have individual keypad for everything. You can see that it has those pesky 'FM' and 'Silent' option keys between the buttons and that might be problematic for a senior citizen as it could be mistakenly pressed by them. If they are used to feature phones, the Micromax X746 model might work otherwise the Micromax X744 seems like a better option with its individual keys. My focus on individual keys is because I have seen a number of senior citizen have troubles using feature phones without them.

Those Nokia ones with relaunched popular models like 3310, banana styled phones are good too.
Only issue would be they seem to be a bit on pricier side.
