Monitors Suggest a LCD 17" monitor..

Could u suggest me a 17" LCD monitor (no wide-screen) for my new comp..
I have bought XFX 8600GT Fatal1ty which has DVI ports..So which monitor will be compatible wid that gfx card ?

Samsung 740N...but for 1.5k more I think you can get some good 19 inch ones

^ no .. u have to check the specifications of that monitor if you want to know if it has one or not . 740N has no dvi port , only analog(vga)..

i checked out a bit..740nw has DVI; 740n does`nt have DVI..damn..

How about Dell UltraSharp 1708FP !! It has DVI input with HDCP. costs 13K + taxes. dont know if raghu can get it for a lower price.

How much difference does a DVI enabled LCD monitor make over analog displays...?? Is it that substantial to go for it and shell out 3-4k extra ?
