Adept
Here is my config:

C2d E4400, IP35E, 2gb, 500gb WD green, Big 7600GS.. one or two usb devices..

I'm looking for a minimal smps, which should be reliable for atleast next 1-2 yr.

I'm in no mood to upgrade anytime soon & need a psu which my existing 500VA UPS can take.

I read here that FSP Saga II 350 is good, but I don't know whether it's enough for my rig or not..

or may be : this : http://www.coolermaster.com/product.php?product_id=3926

So I need suggestions .... is the 350 watter enough or i'll need more juice to run my machine stable..

Don't go for the Coolermaster one.

FSP Saga II 350 is a good choice. An alternative would be Zebronics Pro 350W.

Even better would be to go for Gigabyte Superb 460W if you upgrade a few components (nothing high end though) in the future.

Buy one from HyTech

It will cost you 500 bucks and won`t give you any trouble for 2yrs.

It comes with 1 yr warranty.

One of my frnd purchased it 1 yr back. The price is updated.

@m.khurana : I don't want a generic PSU... had it sometime back.. learnt my lesson.. no more!!!

Seasonic looks too expensive, but we have one in market section for 2.4k, can consider that as well..

Or this: http://www.techenclave.com/members-market/vip-500w-ex-psu-152891.html ( it has 1 yr warranty left.. )

FSP is well within my budget...

Btw, how good is FSP brand ?? is it like Zebronics or like or better...

n how much warranty do they provide ( i think 2 yr.. correct me if i'm wrong.. plz)

FSP is one of the bigger OEM manufacturers who also sell PSUs branded with their own name.

Take a look at Jonnyguru.com if you wanna look up the antecedents of a brand.

FSP Saga II 350 is a good choice Rs. 1600 odd or else just get the seasonic 380W for around 3k ebay ftw.

arre rocky bhai, why buy from ebay when you can get it for 2.8k at NP.

to OP : Seasonic looks costly at first glance but remember its 80+ bronze certified & it also has excellent efficiency even at loads below 100 watts, the load normal rigs run on.

Meaning, It would save you the extra cost it demands by saving on electricity bills within a couple of years.

Wow good news! 2.8k is neat... where SMC? :p

FSP has got more than 200 80+ certified power supplies and the saga 350 will handle your system. If you are still confused i will suggest blue storm pro 350 watts 84% efficiency and costs around 2200 rs and the blue storm series got 3 years warranty i suppose but at this price gigabyte 460w makes more sense.

FSP SAGAII 350 is a very good PSU though its not officially 80+ certified the efficiency is 75-80% moost of the times. Its betterr than the zebby and a very good buy @ 1.6k.

The other alternative is Gigabyte Sperb 460w ~ 2.2-2.3k. Good 80+ PSU and gives you headroom to upgrade :)

I guess then I'll buy either or FSP SAGA2 or Seasonic ( depending on price )...

Can anybody tell me where can I find these in Nehru Place ( Seasonic is available in Tirupati but what about FSP .. )

If it's not available locally then only I'll buy it thru Amarbir sir..

ur config is a lower power one, 7600GS non OC consumes less power than a 8600GT(much lesser i guess)...so the Zebby 350W Pro or Seasonic 350W will do just gr8
