Heys guys, need suggestion for a refrigerator :ashamed:

Been staying away from home since the last 7 years :( , so have no idea about refrigerators.

Planning for a double-door one, have shortlisted the below.

Samsung Frost Free RT - 23

FREEZER (LTR) 56
REFRIGERATOR (LTR) 174

Comprehensive - 1 Year
Compressor - 5 Years
Godrej EON 243 L, GFE 26 D

Warranty Type :1 Year Manufacturer Warranty + 4 Years Compressor Warranty

Budget max 13-14k and no specific requirements. But freezer must cool quickly as there will be valuable stuff :eek:hyeah:

All suggestion welcome....
 
The samsung gives u more space compared to the godrej whereas the godrej ive heard has a fast cooler.so choice is pretty much upto you...Checkk the compartment size before you buy the fridge,dont go by the mentioned capacity..
 
Samsung after sales is good. Get the Samsung. ALso, look at LG in the same rage (dunno model). They'r pretty good too. How much you getting the samsung for?
 
Have the 200+ LG bought 09/06 IRC I payed 12.7k. No probs till now but makes some ratting noise for min or two once in couple of weeks, no clue what it is. Could have got the EON series if I had waited couple of days, bt was in a hurry.
 
Electrolux models have more space in compartments compared to other brands.

they're a bit expensive though.

go to a store where you can compare diff models in the same place if possible. u'll know the difference.
 
Samsung RT-23. Very fast cooling, less noise, spacious, good after sales service, low voltage consumption, no stabilizers required... Using it. No problems. You can buy it.

Is it positive features or ... (red color), Price, Duration of use?
 
Using that RT-23. Seems to be an unusually popular model eh? The door handle broke after two weeks. Never bothered fixing it... been using it for some time and it does what is expected I guess :D
 
Hehehe.... guys u might laugh at me but i've got a 300 ltr Godrej fridge since last 15yrs and its just goin n goin n goin, no detoriation in cooling, just the body at bottom has witherd a bit and increasing now because paint fell on its body and it came off taking away some external coating.

Other than that it has been one of the most reliable things we ever brought in family, no stabilizer too !!

I think Godrej was only One reputed Model at that time and after launching of Korean and other Brands in refrigerator market, godrej too prefer to reduce the price at the cost of Quality (now mad in china) and thus none of the Brand is Market Leader, all says WE ARE LEADER but only on Paper (Advertisement) not in Practical.
 
My Voltas 165 ltrs even after 21 years is still going strong. Cooling is as good as ever but the outer body n all have aged with time, actually even i m looking for a change now but i wonder if any of the available brands can be as gud as my old Voltas if not more.
