Using it for ~7 months now. Decent phone for the price. Decent touch screen and good stero speakers. Best touch phone in your budget IMHO.

Not a big fan of Micromax and other cheap mobiles. There are problems with them.

There are actually lots of touch screen mobiles available for less than 3.5k. Here is a page that shows more than 10 touch screen phones below 4k. You can buy a mobile with camera as well. I guess your sis will be even happier

BTW if you do not like brands like Micromax and karboon, then apart from Samsung Champ (as already suggested here) you can consider LG Cookie Zip as well.

I dont think there is any better touch screen phone than the Samsung Champ. Thats the only dependable option available in this range!!
