So i am planning to start building a small library for myself, in order to read something during night, since i won't get sleep soon :(

Can you please suggest some world famous/must own/ must buy / must read books which i should buy :D

Initially planning to buy 80-100 books, and will import from USA in a lot, since there is no import duty :D

1) How to get a life in 30 days
2) Growing up for dummies
3) My experiment with Trolling
4) Game of trolls

Start with these 4,i seriously would like to see results of all suggestions that you have taken from this forum in pictures and definitely with a piece of paper bearing your name, right from construction, mounting of projector and all threads

If u get a life out of forum. U will get good sleep

@Being.smart

Are you even interested in books at all ? Is it like you are trying to find something to do compulsively ? Seeing your threads, it seems you are running in N directions. If you buy books just to build a library and never look at them then i see you posting in the Buyer's remorse thread. If you have never read books (for leisure) before, then buy couple of popular ones and see if you can sustain interest in reading and if all is well, buy something like Kindle so you do not have to keep a big stack of hard copies all around the house.

I have read 3-4 books and i knew it is not for me, so never buy any book at all. Same with gaming, as an impulse purchase bought PS2 few years back only to not play and then sold it few months back.

I think he has too much money to spend, and doesn't know what to do with it. That's why he's spending like crazy now on everything and when he's run out of options, he starts a thread here. I guess he wants one of those fancy home libraries you get to see in movies or TV serials. For show purpose 100%.

pawned :dead::dead::dead::dead::dead::dead: , i am poor bro :(

But you really got me, i really want to have some sort of fancy library collection all those popular novels and story books :D :D

Have you ever read any book? (Well, I mean other than textbooks of course)
Do you really want to show off or you want to read actually?
If you serious about reading find recommendations in the thread The Book I am Currently reading or in goodreads.com
Or if you want to show off like said above well, how about Britannica's 36+ Volumes. :P

And IMO - most of the books are cheaper in India compared to US/UK.

Consider these:

1. A Song of Ice and Fire series
2. Hunger Games Trilogy
3. Millennium Trilogy
4. Lord of the Rings series
5. Dan Brown novels (Da Vinci Code, Lost Symbol, Angels and Demons, Inferno)
6. Jack Reacher Series
7. Some books by Indian writers (God of Small Things, Narcopolis, White Tiger etc)
8. Fountainhead, Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand
9. Century Trilogy by Ken Follett
10. Harry Potter series
11. Some classics like To Kill a Mocking Bird, The Great Gatsby, Catcher in the Rye etc
12. Indian Mythology (Shiva Trilogy, Asura, Jaya, Krishna Coriolis series etc)
13. Godfather series
14. Biographies of Einstein, Steve Jobs, Ramanujam, Gandhi etc
15. Novels by Agatha Christie
16. Novels by Jeffrey Archer

Fixed.

Disagree.

The DaVinci Code is one of the highest selling books ever. (source) And I suppose it deserves so.
Well, Inferno and Lost Symbol may not be his best work, but Angels & Demons and DaVinci Code are definitely must read fictions.

And Shiva Trilogy - well, remove the 2nd & 3rd books but 1st book is one of the readable Indian fiction of recent times. Author definitely deserves some credit for setting the plot though he could not end the story well.

I haven't read many of the books listed.
But I wouldn't recommend '2. Hunger Games Trilogy' - I have read just the 1st book and IMO its just overhyped book whose plot is even inspired from various similar movies (Battle Royale, Condemned, Death Race etc).
