Hi,
i have a friend who wants to purchase a gpu ,his pc configuration is ::

Motherboard:Maxtone maxG31PR(HIS),
CPU:Intel core 2 duo E7500 2.93ghz ,
Ram:4 gb ram,
HD:300gb harddisk,
PSU:450 watts power supply

he wants to play Assassin's Creed III at 1600x900 with high settings

BUDGET: 13k

plz give ur inputs...

First thing, change the SMPS, pronto.

A Corsair CX v2430W ~2700/- OR Cooler Master GX450W ~3500/-.

For a graphics card, a HD7770GHz edition ~9500/- OR AMD HD6850 ~8500/- will be your best bet. Cheerio!
 
HD 6850 2GB DDR5 EDITION...IT'll be around 12k... BTW u can max out AC3 even with a 550ti as its the same engine as previous games of the series .... hope that helps
 
You shouldn't spend that much on GPU as for now considering your system,Spend 9k for Sapphire HD7770Ghz edition-9.5k and get Corsair CX430V2-2.4k avoid Corsair VS450 it's not as good as CX430V2.Save the remaining cash for later CPU and Mobo upgrade,Cheers.:)
