Camera Suggest P&S Camera. Budget Max 6k

My friend wants to purchase a digicam. His max budget is 6000 rupees. Any good point and shoot camera will do. Please suggest something good for this budget. We are noobs when it comes to camera. I had purchased my LZ8 only because it was available for a very good price using the ebay coupons. So we would really not understand technical stuff related to cams. :ashamed:

im on the same boat. Im also looking for Point n shoot camera (budget 10k).

Till now, after searching through TE, found Panny LZ10 to be the best camera in the bracket, BUT is it the best for P&S too?

I have got the LZ10 and it is pretty good.Have got manual controls too to experiment with.And it is a good P&S Camera.

Thanks for the info hacker, can u please compare LZ10 with anything else in Point&Shoot section? For instance the Sony dsc or Casio exilim etc.

bought my first digicam yesterday..yepp its lz10 for 5.5k from metrogully kolkata.
tell u guys at this price its unbeatable..i ve done a fair bit of research..yes it has some mixed reviews..but if u saw the review from trustedreview then i tell u guys theres something wrong..the file size aint that small its close to 4.5mB as usual 10mp cameras

many reviews say that its default auto mode is not the best..photos are a bit soft in nature..but dont worry it also has a full manual control ..
