Hi,

I have just ordered for the following rig. I will be mainly using for trading, dual or triple monitor. Less gaming.

1 Intel i7 2700k Rs. 19,760.00

2 motherboard p8z68 v gen 3 Rs. 14,100.00

3 8 gb ddr3 corsair vengeance1600 fsb 4gb x 2 Rs. 3,200.00

4 Corsair Force 3 - 120 gb SSd Rs. 9,300.00

5 cooler master 690 advanced usb 3 change to carbide 400r crosair Rs. 4,000.00

6 cooler master Gx 550w Rs. 4,750.00

7 F N D 2.1 speakers Rs. 2,000.00

8 22 x samsung dvd writer Sata Rs. 980.00

9 Hard disk 1 TB western digital caviar black

I have opted for GX 550 cooler master, so that I can upgrade to Radeon 6790 later one for the third monitor. Can some one tell me if the prices are right and if the PSU is correct or overkill. Thanks

Yes the prices are correct but instead of going for CM gx550w-4.7k go for Seasonic S12ii 620w-4.6k OR Corsair TX650V2-5.2k,By going for one of these psu's you can OC both cpu and gpu with little headroom.

thanks for your input. But I am not going to game much. Even then is the 620 w necessary? I wanted to overclock the cpu to 4.5 ghz though.

The prices i have posted were before tax. There is additional 5% tax on all. Did you say the prices were correct inclusive of tax?

Where did you get these prices from?,the prices are ok for inclusive taxes.

@venkat72-Strictly get Corsair TX650V2 version psu, tell the guy whom you're buying from that you need V2 version of TX650.

For Ocing your proccy you i'd suggest you to get-Cooler Master Hyper 212 evo-2.1k OR Noctua nh-u12p se2-3.8k,Whichever fits your budget.

Thanks again. I have mentioned the v2 to my supplier.

Is Noctua better than Thermalright Silver arrow? Will these fit in 400R cabinet?

The one i've listed Noctua nh-u12p se2-3.8k is not little short in performance to Thermalright Silver arrow-4.2k or more,If you can afford 4k or more cpu cooler then it's great and it'll fit in Corsair 400R.

I asked because I found Thermalight silver arrow for Rs 4000 on Theitdepot.com. And couldn't find Noctua. Anyway thanks. For now I am going to just use the stock heatsink, and next month when I upgrade to 3 monitors, a graphic card, then will buy this cpu cooler too.

How much can I overclock with the stock heatsink?

the 6790 and high end i7 2600k will not match faster cpu and mid range gpu so u need to update around 6870 or 6950 for balance config to play all games at 1080P no lagg

Thanks Arun. But I don't play. My main usage will be 2d charting and excel monte Carlo simulation kinda work. Do I have to go for high end graphics? I was thinking for buying 6790 for 4 monitor support. Fireproof 2640 is has 4 monitor support. But double the price of 6790! Ur suggestions for my needs please.

will noctua or silver arrow fit in 400R case and corsair vengeance 4gb x 2? Vengeance seem to have very high heatsink.

I have puchased the system. Thanks for giving me right guidance. Only thing pending is the cpu cooler. I actually purchased crucial m4 128gb from Amazon.com. I just received it today. Everything is so fast.
