Hey guys
Need suggestion for Motherboard + CPU
Budget 17k to 18k
I was looking to buy Intel G 3258 is it worth buying ???
Board format should be mini itx if possible or mAtx will do
Planing to buy Corsair 250D Cabinet

the g3258 will oc on any compatible chipset (h81, b85, h97 etc.) because it's not part of the k-series (and as such it doesn't need a z board to oc)
be sure to budget for a decent cooler like the cm hyper 212.

I too am trying to upgrade processor, motherboard, ram. I have Intel e5200 setup. My budget for all 3 is 10-12K.

This G3258 seems to be quite a overclockable proccy, 4.2ghz on stock fan and 4.5ghz on third party coolers. Would it be enough for medium setting gaming with gtx 750 with decent mobo and 8gb ram?

while the g3258 is a good overclocker, it's still a chip that's at the bottom of the performance barrel.
the overclocking brings it up to a core i3's level of performance.
overall, i would recommend you both go straight for the i3 as the lower price of the g3258 is offset by the need for a decent cpu cooler (and a decent psu since you're overclocking)

yeah, that's a great boost in cpu choice. the system will last you much longer now.
what psu are you currently using?
