PC Peripherals Suggestion for DVD Rom Required

Guys can you suggest me the best DVDrom Drive

Which has following features

- Support for DVD+-R\RW , DVD-Video , DVD+R DL ,
CD\CDR

- DVD at 16x and CD at 48x or 40x

- Best DVD Vob ripping time & audio extraction time

- Can detect all sorts of DVD Media i mean cheap DVD's also.

- Region protection can also be fooled by DVD Idle Pro.

- firmware upgradable to support new formats like
Dvd-R DL [if it comes] or any minor updates.

- low cpu utilization[optional not much a need]
I hate LG drives that i have to say and not going
for a combo drive.

Currently i have a Sony DDU1621 and works gr8
but i am looking for a new faster dvd rom for my
new rig which i will be purchasing in july.
[u might be thinking this guy is mad will be purchasing
his rig in july and he is asking me now , but thats
how i am]

you know why i purchased sony ddu1621 just becoz
it supports all dvdformats doesnt matter if it reads
dvd's at 40x but i want a better drive than this for
my new rig.

TechHeads Suggestion
Lite-On 16P9S or Asus E616.

Blade's Suggestion
Umm faster ! Then i think u shud wait cuz 16X is the fastest in dvd roms that you will get these days. And i m not too sure if there will be faster models soon. For the best rippin speeds and times get the liteon 166, the newer 167 models and later dont have dvd-ram support. So its entirelty your call. And you can flash to a region free firmware and have fun.

Had PMed Blade_runner & TechHead for advice.

Blade Suggested me to start a thread for a nice opinion.

i dont think you will see anything faster than 16x for dvd drives. go for the asus drive. think its a pioneer oem

I dont want drives faster than 16X , i know currently 16X is the limit.

Also bottle i wud be gr8ful to u if u plz post the model number.
IS it ASUS E616

Dont want to get in the mess of flashing for format support.

Will be using DVD Idle to make it region Free

ASUS E616 is very good drive and one of the easiest to reset DVD region without need of any software.
All you need to do is boot the PC with both buttons on the drive pressed until windows logo appears on the screen and DVD region code is reset.
Also it has very good DVD read performance though the CD-reading is little slower. It also takes a while to detect and autorun CDs.
My Sony Drive is much faster in that regard but other than that the drive is very good performance wise.

How are these

ASUS E616
