re: Suggestion for gaming PC @ 20k (excluding monitor & speakers)

I do not think you will be getting a good gaming PC for this budget slightly increase your budget by a few grands and you might get one. Even if you manage to get one at this cost you wont be satisfied mate :)

Buddy this is not possible when you have a budget of 20k and its the same thing the other members are trying to tell you.
So, at this budget you will not be able to play most games @high settings. IMO leave out the CPU cooler and go for a better GPU instead and a much better option would be that you buy a second hand graphic card from TE's Member's Market or wherever you can find a better GPU for your budget.
BTW who said VX450 is for Rs.2450? :O Its come's for ~3.5k Something(Please do the surfing yourself). So this takes away your 1k that was saved from the Cooler. Anyways let other member's reply as they will obv. give you the right config. :)

re: Suggestion for gaming PC @ 20k (excluding monitor & speakers)

^What is your current monitor size? You should decide the GPU based on that.

Smps is optional as i mentioned

My budget is flexible as i mentioned

Amd processor tends to heat up when it is unlocked into 4 cores thats why cpu cooler is not optional , i will be needing it.

i can buy normal cabinet instead of COOLER MASTER Elite 310 RC-310-RWN1-GP Black @ Rs.1850 and i can buy 320 hdd

i can increase my bugdet if any one provides me the satisfying configuration

i have provided you all with pc config that i like , and if there is any other better config ,please let me know

i know prices mentioned in my config above i know that its not correct, thanks for correcting me on that

more suggestions please

Increase your budget a little bit and you will end up with a decent config. This config is ideal for gaming at 1600*900 resolution or below. Older games can be played at FHD.

Edit: Since your monitor resolution is just 1440*768 the HD6770 would be sufficient enough to let you play most games in the medium-high settings :)

im droping the idea for graphic card

so now my budget is Rs.15000 is without graphic card

i have 3 cpu in mind

1)Amd phenom II X2 550 BE @ Rs. 4500 (unlocks into 4 cores)

2)Intel core i3 2100 sandy @ Rs.5550 (very fast for dual core)

3)Intel PDC G620 @ Rs.3450 (cheaper than rest)

whats your suggestions on that

and please can anyone tell what motherboard to choose for intel i3 and its price

Are you looking to buy a graphic card soon in the future? If yes, then you can go for the i3 and buy a graphic card later.

If no, then you should look for the AMD Llano processors which have a great onboard GPU.

Btw, the config that DarkAngel is great for gaming if you are looking for a one time expenditure. Otherwise you can go for an i3 now, save some money and get a GPU a couple of months later.

Not every 550BE unlocks into quad..mine was even not able to boot into windows with all cores unlocked.. reason might be unstable cores.. it all depends on your luck. so the idea of buying cpu cooler just because you think it will unlock into quad core beast is not wise...

Even if it unlocks to 4 cores, the Core i3 would still be better in gaming. It might have a slight edge in processes that need multi-core, but still Core i3 would be better overall.

And you can't guarantee that it will unlock to 4 cores either.

Intel DH67-BL is a good motherboard for ~5k.

@gunjan.singh548
check newegg for AsRock M3A-785GXH/128M.. and read the reviews.. it was one of the better boards those days which had excellent unlocking capabilities.. I also bought 550BE thinking as a bargain quadcore but the reality is if you are really lucky then only you might get all 4 cores running in stable cond.

my almost final config

Processor -intel core i3 2100 @ Rs.5550

Motherboard - Intel BOX DH67BL @ Rs.5150 (thanks to viralbug)

RAM -4 Gb corsair DDR3 1333MHz ~ Rs.1350

HardDisk - 500gb seagate or western digital @ Rs.1800

Power supply - Corsair CX430 v2 @ Rs.2200

Graphic card - MSI R6770-MD1GD 1GB GDDR5 @ Rs.6500 (thanks to Dark Angel)

DVD -Samsung dvd writer Rs. 950

total - Rs.23500

thanks to all whoever participated in this discussion :hap2:

any problems with this configuration please let me know

also let me know if this configuration is ok:cool2:

Good config. Go ahead with it.

You can get the Seasonic S12II 430W which costs 400 bucks more. It is 80 plus bronze certified and has 5 year warranty. The Corsair v2 CX430 has 3 year warranty. The Seasonic is a better buy.
