PC Peripherals Suggestions for a printer

Hi

I need a new printer, just for basic home printing and very rare photographs. My HP3325 has died !

I already have a scanner and I don't think I need an all in one.

How is EPSON STYLUS C45 ?
The reason I am asking it, is that it is free with subscribtion of digit. (http://www.thinkdigit.com/subscribe/order.php?mode=r)
HOw much does Epson stylus c45 cost officially ?

Any other printers you recommend.
It should be cheapest and value for money.

Your best bet is the canon Pixma IP1000. I bought one in May 2005 for 2500. Great performance including photographs. I compared the Epson C45, HP 3745 and this one before buying.

The Canon is the fastest of the 3 too.

Most importantly, the recurring cost of cartridges is the lowest of the lot.

On the negative side, this one looks the ugliest. Go for it if you don't need it to win a beauty contest. :D
 
I also have a Canon i255 it is the Predecessor of the iP1000 and it's the best for it's price.

Buy a Canon iP1000 you won't regret it.
