Suggestions for a Ultra Compact / Compact Digital Camera

Looking for something that will fit in my shirt pocket but will give me decent pictures. It has to have the following:

Budget: 15-20K

1. Good battery life

2. Decent zoom (5x or so)

3. Decent low light performance

4. Overall good performer

I would like to avoid touch screen ones as I find them cumbersome.

Please pitch in with your suggestions. Thanks :)
 
Canon SX20 IS looks promising with nice features..

If needed projector kind of feature, Nikon S1100bj also fits ur budget..

and if dont want the lens booming out of cam, Nikon S80 also a decent option

No idea about fujis and fijis :P
 
SX20IS is not exactly ultracompact. :P

I would suggest either the Panasonic TZ10 or the Sony HX5V. The former can be had with manufacturer warranty here for about 18 to 19k. The latter is not officially available in India. Both are excellent P&S with good features, although the low light performance is average in both. The Canon S90 is considered to be the best low light performer among P&S cams, but I'm sure it won't fit in your budget.

It becomes ultracompact when UC is defines as thing coming inside the pocket :ohyeah:

I dont think by ultracompact, TS means the thinest and the sleekest one available.. Is it so?

Yeah!!.. T series of sony is specially know for compactness which they brought long time ago.

At present time all cameras (from all brand) are decent and no one will come out as a bad choice whichever U choose...

Above lines go more sensible in your case where budget is significantly high..

All U need is to do a smart comparison b/w few you really liked...

Features and looks should be given equal importance.. (ppl are generally bias towards looks in ultracompacts)

T series usually have a better lens,not what i had assumed initially due to it size at many instances they are better then the W series.

But the H55 fits your need its compact and comes with 3 year manufacturer warranty and 4gb card and a Sony pouch.
