suggestions wanted for digital photo frame...

Have been thinking of having one for a while now. Have seen some "unbranded" ones that perform pretty well, play .avi's, mp3's, etc.

Some of the things it should have :
- should have the option of running on batteries or ac power
- should be able to play .avi's
- sideshow functionality ( guess this is usual now )

Am guessing some of the people must be owning this already, so some help / feedback would be most invited.

The unbranded and the one's branded as "YES" have very poor resolution, stay away from them. Purchase one having VGA resolution at least and preferably 4:3 aspect ratio. The 7"/8" frame with wide aspect ratio looks very small. Transcend has couple of model priced about 4.5 -5k, check them.
 
I can only think of Transcend.

Just a TIP: The charm of these digital photo frames wears off pretty soon. It gets boring. A very bad Tech investment in my opinion.
