Posting as separate thread, as this looks to be a really good price; not to be missed.

Sygic Android app with India maps @ INR 172.24

1) Install trial app from Google play.
2) Let it download basefiles
3) In the mean time go to Sygic portal and buy India maps
4) Price - 2.99 Euro (Don't choose USD)
5) At time of checkout - enter code 1458554694429 - Gives 25% off.
6) Net price - 2.24 Euro or INR 172.24 :happy::happy::happy:
7) Open trial app
8) Go to My Sygic > Activate (code)
9) Enter the code you received in mail
10) Download India maps
11) Enjoy

Versions one should get using above method
Sygic version - 13.1.1
India Maps version - 2012.06 (Most likely they are TomTom and not MapMyIndia, but can't confirm)


PS : 25% discount code works for other regions as well 1458554694429 . World navigation is 65 Euro on Sygic portal, comes down to 48 after code (3600 INR). Good deal for travelers.

2) Premium TomTom maps
3) Free updates

The only difference I can see is Maps - The app in google store is tied up with MapMyIndia maps, where as on portal they highlight TomTom. Interestingly Sygic mentions top map providers as - TomTom, Whereis and MapMyIndia so maybe, app wise it may be same.
 
Although not related, it seems TomTom is now available in India as well. I had seen a special section of TomTom GPS in Reliance digital.
 
From the comments on other thread and on DD, i thought price is applicable only for old not updated version.

So would we get latest maps and application version for this price?
 
Thanks, got one license! Have not installed the application yet.

BTW, how does the licensing work in Android apps? This is my first paid Android app!
Can I use it on multiple devices and can the installation be done multiple times?

The application version is for sure latest - 13.1.1. Maps are 2012.06 - hope they are latest too.
 
Bought license anyway. Tks for saving few more bucks and having app with updates. Other app dedicated for india seem to have some limitations, dont know for sure though.[DOUBLEPOST=1370347217][/DOUBLEPOST]Downloading maps operation is pathetically poor. Side loading files would be 10 times faster
 
btw is there any way to check if the map is the latest one because app seems to be free....we need to pay for maps !!

can anyone confirm?
