Figuring stuff out

Well as is common for some of the reputed mag like DIGIT, can the TE management think of getting various hardware products as specimen from various vendors and then review their performance, for the benifit of the members, yes i know that the companies may be hesitant to really send in specimen for review and tests for a relatively "new" online community , still,
there might be some who'll be intrested, and then, the specimen could be given away as rewards for some contests hosted by TE...... i say this cuz i sometimes feel that the reviews in the mags are not so dependable.
yes again TE mgmnt could also think abt putting a "TOP 10"- LIST for all kind of hardware with their approximate prices , across all hardware categories-
like CPUS,GPU'S,HDD'S and so on.......... this could be updated regularly and will be very very useful. :) :)

Moved to Feedback Corner.

Regarding the topic: Thanx for ur suggestions. We are in talks with vendors for product reviews. If things get on well, u'll soon see such reviews on TE.

Actually inspite of us being a relatively new community, we already do have offers for starting up reviews, so companies arent hesitant (things have been moving especially after the DFI launch).

The problem right now isnt so much as sourcing the hardware, but finding TE Members and i mean "quality" TE Members ready to come forward and do the reviews. At the moment only 2~3 guys seem genuinely interested. I'm sure some of the newer crowd would be interested in reviewing hardware, but since the whole process is based on trust - we're limiting the guys interested to those who are old/reliable members we know. If more come forward, we could definately get things moving :)

Actually most units are demo units given out on a returnable basis, i.e. no its not our property to keep or hand out ;)

ME ME ME!!!!! I would love to get my hands on some of the cool hardware.

But of course, there is an equal chance that I run away to antarctica with it :P

Mod Edit:

You cant be serious in making a proposal to TechEnclave.com if u cant even get the name right! or get the admin's nick right! anyways, if u still insist, get in touch with the admins - XTerminator or Safin or QuickFire

It was not a proposal. Just writing down the facts of the problems Techenclave faces before it wants to move to bigger projects. BTW, can I know the reason, as in Why my post was edited. I belive I didnt offence anyone. A few critism yes. I just gave in my opinions. If you dont like my opinions, then you could have just ignored my post rather than editing it.

Regarding getting the nick name mis typed, I work in proffesional environment, So we have to address people by the real name. Nicknames are given to shorten the actual name. For eg, Siddharth are just called Sid. Now, as I am going through these forums right from the time TechAreana started. Just that I dont post. Anyways, I just remembered something Quick as the system admin of this site, and by accident typed it Quicksilver.

Regarding the proposal I made, I was ready to freelance for this site for two reasons.

1)Firstly, its a site based on my intrest.

2)It was headstarted by few people with no fundings backup.

But, trust me after you restricted my freedom of speech, my expectations just hit the bottom low. Anyways, good luck wit the test labs, and I can always be PMed for any advise needed.
