To participate, members just need to put up a photograph showing how Technology is vital to your day-to-day lifestyle/work.

Any tech related stuff such as: desktops, notebooks, tablets, mp3 players, cellphones and other devices (except your transportation) that aid you on a daily basis.

The winner will receive a 320GB Western Digital MyPassport AV courtesy of WD India.

Rules:

# Contest applies for Indian Residents only.

# The Following WD logo should be physically present in the pic:

You can display the picture on the display panel of your device or have that logo present within that picture itself. (Basically it is something like our market section rule. You can take a small printout of the logo, or display the logo in some devices like a mobile and place it next to your subject. .)

# 1 entry(photo) per member.

# Post a 640*480 res. picture and attach the full resolution pic.

# Any photograph that is found irrelevant will be DQ by default.

# WD would be allowed to use the image with referback to this thread in their media that talks about Click! contest.

Well my two most important tech gadgets are pictured below.

My MacBook. Does everything I need. Emails, Photoshop, Development, everything. I cant imagine life without it.

My iPhone4. Keeps me connected, where ever I am. In meetings, client visits etc. Keeps me from getting lost with its GPS. The games keep me from getting bored.



The photo is ^^. I am not really sure what you guys mean by "# Post a 640*480 res. picture and attach the full resolution pic." When I try to attach the full image, it says dimensions are too big. The full image is uploaded on imgur anyway.
 
^ We didn't want people posting full HD pics and make the thread take a long time to load. so something like what you posted is ok, if you want judges to have a look at a higher resolution pic, add it as an attachment.
 
Oh yeah! One more thing: The decision is made by the mods. You know the drill! The more creative you are, the better your chances are to get selected.
 
My desktop is my get away from everything. Its my desktop, my ps3, my ipod, my tv and my go to hub for all the information. It might not be portable, but it does what it does pretty well and in my eyes the desktop cannot be replaced by the upcoming netbooks/tablets, as each have their own space in the home-sphere (if i might call it so).

Shouldn't the posting of the pics be made private atleast till the contest ends? We don't want people stealing ideas now, do we? This is a contest afterall, and I am sure we all want it to be fair.
 
Is it just that one has to post images (more than 1 allowed right ??) and tell how that piece of gadget is useful in his/her daily life. Am i interpreting the contest right ??

Also if you can have a template / sample pic(s) it would give us better insight in what you are expecting.
 
1 Entry per person= 1 pic per member. If you want to change it, just edit the comment where you have put up the entry. Its not a screenshot- its a photo. Nitant's post is the best example. How you guys present it is something upto you guys. Last entry 12-07-2011 (23: 59 hrs) so if anyone submitting anything after time will not be considered.

@Bluffmaster: Even if people steal ideas, its going to be judged based on the unique presentation (whoever nails it first). Copying others is pretty much as good as loosing your chances to be considered by the judges. I wouldn't be surprised if people's best work comes on the last day.
 
^But why is it so hard for you guys to make the whole contest like other contests on TE private till its over? :S Whoever nails it first is a pretty stupid way to judge imo as more than one person may have a similar idea but the one who posts later may implement it in a better way and you are basically saying that just because he was a little late, he missed the bus? Lame! If you really want the creativity to come out, heed my advice and make this whole affair private, otherwise this contest is just a joke.

Pardon my language but do you even realize how stupid it sounds? You are saying that after I have seen all the entries, I can very easily just edit/change my entry to win the prize? Wow!
 
Ok guys. I have made a small change here.

1. Start a thread in the Draft Section

2. Follow this title format - "WD Click - Thead Title"

3. The full resolution picture will need to be attached in the post. Do not host it anywhere else.

4. Once done, come over to this thread and post over here that you have submitted your initial entry. This way we can keep track of the number entries.

Eg.

View attachment 15858

(Go Advanced > Manage Attachments> Upload the picture > Insert Inline

Updated the first post as well.

Either you are the first one or you are late and creative enough to discriminate.

Yes you are right, if you are lazy and late then you missed the bus. If you don't read this thread then you miss the bus. If your bulb doesn't light up sooner then you miss the bus.

I don't see what's so lame in that. :)

EDIT : Thanks to Saiyan for editing the thread. It makes much more sense now.
 
^ Post on the last day or post in drafts if you're keen on keeping it private :P

Most are happy to show off their creations much like the photography thread.
 
^Eddy Saar, had this been a normal thread I wouldn't have had any problems with it but seeing as this is a contest and a nice prize is up for grabs I feel everyone should get a fair chance at this. Why should a member get an unfair advantage of posting first when the whole thing can be avoided by just making the entries private till the contest lasts. :)
 
Ignore Saiyan's edit.. I have reverted the thread back to the original state.

The point is with private entries people might post just for the heck of it. Public entries will atleast encourage each one to raise the bar.
