Forum Feedback TE showing Popup ADs! That's BAD!

Just saw a IE 8 popup AD when I opened TE. Why mods, why? I don't object to Google ADs but popup ADs are obnoxious and irritating. Sex websites show them, why is TE resorting to such tactics?

As a proud TE member I must say that I am shocked and very unhappy.

[strike]if TE needs a good amount of revenue then certain services can be paid services !

for eg. Private Messaging can be a paid service for the new members { I'm not new ;) }

one may start topic in selling section only after paying certain amount { can be 2USD }[/strike]

edit : :oops: if TE has no pop-up ads then I take my words back :)

TE never had or will have pop up ads, check for spyware
or you might have clicked one of the banner ads by mistake
 
^^ that is forum feature. ANd that can be turned off by going to Edit Option page under UserCP.

there are no popup adds on TE.
 
@seshu What kind of advise is this???

And BTW as the mods said, I'm never see any pop up ad's in TE.

This will make TE a 'paid service' rather than 'community'.

And THERE ARE NO POPUP ADS ON TE. Long live TE :clap:
