Text editor on a USB flash drive ...

Is there a ( Windows ) text editor that I can install on a USB flash drive and which does not use the registry ( so I can use it anywhere ) ? Preferably with multi-tab support, multiple undo-redo etc.

Caution ! EditPad Lite isn't a very good editor, and it seems to crash my system ( not sure about this ).

I have used Editpad as my Default text editor for years and have never had a problem with it - I have Editpad v3.2.1 running even today - it is a freeware and it needs no installation - it works off only one EXE file.

why are you not sure about it, did it crash your system, what is your os, you have to elaborate. text editor crashing your system would be a rarity.

I'm using EditPad *lite* v5.4.5 . The system crash most probably wasn't due to EPad. But it does have bugs. Feature-wise too it isn't too great, but it is the lite/free version. Wish I could use Crimson Editor instead, that's a much better editor.
One thing I must mention is that EPad, allowed me to edit ( global replace in all open files ) utf-8 encoded files. The editor I normally use wouldn't allow that.
btw, have you edited more than say 25 files with EPad at the same time ?
I'm using Win Me.
