The All In One Cabinet;)

all i can say about ur friend is weird!! just like u.. hot sandwich i can understand.. but why wud anyone wanna drink hot vodka/rum? that i cant understand.. :p
 
what if he lives with a bunch of rowdy guys who would sneak away the precious stuff as soon as they lay their eyesight upon....

Back in my engg days, my next door neighbour used to hide smokes in shoe-boxes, and under the head unit of a cssette player to keep prying eyes away ;)
 
uhh...i found tons of cockroach dead bodies and eggs when i opened a friend's cabinet. took the HDD out, then another swarm of roaches came out of the HDD PCB!!!!!
 
This is not hearsay: sounds kinda fabricated, but it is true:
This frnd of mine used to hear strange clicking noises from one corner of the room while sleeping and this was kinda spooking him.....It was winter time and the silence of winter nights made it all the more scary....
Anyway, coupla months later before summer started, he decided to get the AC serviced, and when the AC was pulled out from the casing, out fly some 30-40 bats :-O
 
hehehe, well i used to keep my cabinet open coz of the preshott, and after sometime at nights, closed it. once noticed some clicking noise, didnt bother, thought it was the HDD. then after two three days, it started annoying me, the noise was not consistant, so i thinoght it cudnt be the HDD, opened the cabinet, and vrooom came a rat runing out of the cabinet :D

liar liar.. i mean ur friend.. bats being noisy at nights? thot bats were nocturnal n went after human blood at nights.. may be the 30-40 bats got trapped behind the AC casing when they were trying to swoop on ur friend.. hehehe.. lucky him..

please do not take my comments seriously.. and now u know why u shud keep ur windows closed when u r sleeping..

Getting back to the topic, this happened to a friend.. he was meticulous about his comp and used to clean it on a regular basis. Infact he was the guy who "taught" me how to rip the comp apart to pieces and put them back together.. Pure Magic! :D

Anyways, it so happened he had cleaned up his comp and assembled it one late sunday afternoon. He was watching TV at night and poof.. the comp switched off.. Mobo Dead! turned out there was a dead lizard between the backside of the mobo and the cabinet (mobo tray)! Apparently the lizard short-circuited the mobo.. poor guy.. he was running 2 P3 500MHz on a Dual CPU board.. but he had sold one CPU to buy a 12X CD-RW :D
 
Probably they were baby bats who grew up in the AC cabinet during the winter moths...actually the full story is a whole lot longer.an am sure that bugger added lots of spicy bites..anyway, don't want to type it out, but to give u a sampler
- The bats rushed out of the AC to make themselves comfortable in other parts of the hiuse ;)
- One particularly acrobatically inclined bad slithered half way in the bathroom sink open lid, where he was duly captured under a inverted bucket
- When a certain lady frnd came visiting and needed to use the loo, she was purposefully sent over to the ^^^^ loo

Actually, there was a whole lot more but i don't rem' more than half of it

As for your poor friend, that's one real sad story
