The BBC has had to make an apology after requesting an interview with Bob Marley, despite the fact that the Reggae legend died over 24 years ago.
Stereoboard.com reports that the BBC accidentally sent an email to the Bob Marley Foundation requesting the stars presence for an upcoming BBC3 programme about icons of music.
The corporation were obviously embarrassed by the situation and released a statement saying: : "We are obviously very embarrassed that we didn't realise that the letter to the Marley Foundation did not acknowledge that Mr Marley is no longer with us."
"The Marley Foundation have been extremely good humoured about this and we have apologised for the error." Added the statement.
Marley died as a result of cancer in 1981 aged just 36
