The current state of GaaN chargers.

GaaN chargers are quickly pickup up pace. They offer a great solution to de-clutter your charging scene.

Have seen a few 100W GaaN chargers but the brands are unknown (3k-5k price range). I could not find good reviews on the ones that are sold in India, There are branded options but they are real expensive. When your dealing with high wattage and multiple ports, this becomes complicated. It is advisable to just go for any cheap option (that looks decent) without genuine reviews or should I not risk damaging my devices?

I use the Spigen PE2007 70W bought for around 1400 odd when it was on sale at Croma online. Its retailing for over 2k but you may want to keep a look for sales every now and then.

70W is not ideal for me, I'm looking out for 100W minimum. Laptop + another smaller device fast charge @ same time.

What if no name brand charger is using Qualcomm Quick Charge chip? Will it be reliable?

No brand names have caught up with tech specs. There are lots of them that have qualifications and certifications for high wattage charging devices.

PPS/PD3.0/QC3.0/QC4+/AFC/FCP/SCP/Smart 2.4A etc etc... too many standards to keep track of. But ultimately specs wont guarantee reliability. Need proper reviews that dismantle the charger and check the components and circuit implementation.

Lower wattage or single port GaaN chargers seem easier to decide on compared what I'm looking for. It's like USB type-C conundrum all over again o_O

I would not risk my phone with an unbranded device. These days I limit the charging speed on my phone because it no longer has a user replaceable battery.

I've been using my K20 for the last past 4 years. Thankfully box charger is measly 18W (by today's standards).

In that case you will have to dish out more unless you are ok to risk no name brands. Do share the experience on how you fare.

I've limited mine to 9W. No rush. Sammy would like to sell me a 25W charger which I have no need for above the 15W stock charger

Pay extra and buy something branded is what I would advise. Customers are not supposed to do Q&A. Since when was that the case?

Yeah. I use the same. Have 2 of these.

Best bet is to get Anker from someone coming from abroad.

50% off on FK ? I really doubt that price for a legit Apple GAN charger.

Why so cynical? FK has been on a roll off late with deals. Some mad good deals in the past 6 months including 6700 for 18k 3080ti for 50k

Seller is TrueComRetail, it’s a legit deal

Fk's returns are a PITA. I had to resort to INGRAM to get my money back. Plus tons of fakes due to inventory commingling.

People who are using Spigen PE2007 70W, does it support Samsung's super fast charging? 45W or 25W?
Also as per specs, it is 9V 3A max, so how does it support 50W charging?
