While i was trying to edit my Master Hardware Contacts List post

The edit button has vanished.

I wanted to add some more contacts to it now i am unable to add.

I also noticed this on some more posts which i had edited.

Is there a restriction on editing posts to some number.

Please help me out so i can add more contacts to the list.

I think the edit button is disabled after a certain period of time.

You may ask the mods to make the necessary correction / additions to your original list.

Yep. The Edit button works for only 30 minutes after a message is posted! (At least, it does so by default :cool2: )

I think it works for something like 3hrs...maybe it varies from user to user

time limit to edit thread title : 5 mins
time limit to edit contents of post : 200 mins

Why is this so? This is a default "feature" for Vb. The admins can increase the time, i guess...

this what we have set ourselves.
reason:
it is basically to protect others lest someone does something and backtracks later. Anyway thats the logic.
