Forum Feedback Thinking about more SUBFORUMS

To Mods and Admin,
I was thinking whether we could have more sub forums just as we have under DEALERS PARADISE and MARKET SECTION -

1] Was thinking about categorising mobile buying advice thread and laptop buying advice and maybe other too into budget categories like 2k-5k,5k-10k, etc

i have seen that whenever i need to look for advice threads i need to search a lot

Sub Forums would make things easy
I know there is a thing called SEARCH but i am thinking of making it more easy
 
^^Searching by price would really not make much sense IMO. It is good the way it is. Too many hierarchies will spoil it. Also in mobile buying it is always better to search first few pages of threads as older ones probably may not hold good due to continuous revision of mobile prices.

If I have a budget of 10k, I will be considering gadgets from 8k to 12k. I might just take fancy to some exceptionally vfm device at 16k, or might not like anything and save money on a 4k device. So, which subforum would I start my thread in? :)
 
Te already has plethora of subsections to make browsing suave. If you want to categories your post with price range use the tag cloud instead.

Creating new sections based on price range makes no sense, and it will be difficult to categories since range cannot be predicted.
 
hmm maybe this idea wont work as all of them are having same opinions

btw i was trying to tell that if possible we can have subforums where there are lots of threads with different topics under one forum

the budget subforum was just an example as such

You can list other sub-forum ideas and we'll see if something helps, if not the budget.

About the budget categorising, you can start a master thread with common budget categories and list some recent threads with discussions around those budgets under those categories.. and we'll sticky it.

a phone launching at 25k today maybe down to 10k in an year.

would it not rather be too much fragmentation about one product being discussed and mentioned over bunch of categories over the period of time?

Budget can never be a subforum, it is just not practical, atleast not when the competition is this aggressive in the computing arena...be it portable or not.

I am in favour of categorizing ultraportable separately which would comprise of smartfones and tablet.

and a different section for dumbfones then ?

hmm categorizing budget wise wont make sense but atleast the categorising idea is working

maybe categorizing should be done for netbooks,notebooks,tablets,ultrabooks,etc

NOTE - this is as above only suggestion to what can be done and not what should be done,sounds little bit like 'neha' :P

any member having any idea to share would be great
