Hi ppl,

The biggest headphones I have seen so far...the JVC rx700 arrived through KMD..
Currently in office...they are burning in in my drawer..
Cant keep them outside...they are too big..

They sounded great probably the best I have heard from a headphone coz I havent heard many....but my basshead friends were blown away... they have amazing bass.:).

QUICK REVIEW -- Before burn-in
Out of the box, these sound good, have good bass [sometimes overboard in some tracks], somewhat recessed mids, highs are controlled and are not at all shrill and soundstage is good, so these can be gaming cans. They sound a little laidback, quite different from my ksc75s..which have warm kindda sound signature. After listening to some metal tracks I found these a little slow, but are good for hip-hop and hindi tracks. These are quite comfortable, but I cant wear them for more than 30 mins continously at the moment. the built quality is good, cable quality is acceptable...
I will be using them for movies, music and gaming in that order...

Pics are taken from ma E63:(, will post better pics later..

Congrats MusicisLife!

BTW, can somebody please compare how JVC rx700 stacks against HP9000. I have heard the price is same.

@ MusicisLife ,congrats :D.

@morgoth, The SHP 9000 retails for 4k. Croma was clearing old stock at 2.5k :p. also they are a bit difficult to drive without a amp.

If any mumbai members is willing ,I would love to compare the RX700 with my SHP 9000,though both have different sound signatures i guess cause the SHP 9000 has a very deep and well controlled bass. maybe not for the bass heads.

I am looking to buy a new pair of Headphones. Was just wondering if these can be driven by the on-board sound card or not? And is an amp necessary?
