Hmm..., i have noticed this thing for a very long time and i think there is a problem!
Take a look:

Except for the first one (it was a sticky), the views is more more than that of the posts. This holds true at all sections in here...
Is this is a problem or it shows (like this)only for me?

Views more than replies are expected.
If i have got myself right, even views from guests are counted.
Besides that, each member who views the thread, generates one view.
As for views = replies + 1,
in that case, a person who has posted the thread is counted as a viewer when he visits the thread again. So, if u have 4 replies, there will be 5 posts in that thread. One of which( the first one) will be the original post by the author.

As for the view count, as far as i figure, when a person views/ sees the thread for the first time it is counted as one view.
After that, for each successive reply in that thread, if the same person visits the thread again, the view count is increased by 1.
Please note: This is what i figure from watching over a few threads. This cannot be considered as an official reply. The admins will confirm about this one soon.
 
hmm.. there is a problem with views and thats due to the cookie timeout we have fixed. We are aware of the problem and are trying what we can.
