Forum Feedback Tired of wrong notifications , please do something about it , long time now

Hi mods ,
really tired with this wrong notifications and faulty notifications .

When someone mentions me , I get a notification but when I click on it . It does not show anything , I have to read back all the threads in which I had posted to find the correct place .
When someone quotes me , its the same story , even when going in to mail , when I click the link it again redirect me to my notifications tab which has nothing .
Sometimes get wrong notification if a friend quotes someone else .

The only thing thats working properly is the pm facility .

This has been going since a long time now , please do something about it , makes things really frustrating ! .
I have given a request before also but nothing has been done about it , sadly .

If you already know this, my bad. But just wanted to confirm that you know about the various different options as shown below -

If someone mentions you, you have to click on mentions. If someone quotes you, you have to click on quotes - you get the idea.

If you already knew this but are facing something else, it would be great if you could provide some screenshots.

When you get a notification, say '1 NEW MENTIONS', click on it and by default, it would show 'My Activity' tab. Did you click on 'Mentions' tab? When you click on it, it will show the recent mentions. The same goes when someone quotes you - head to the 'Quotes' tab and you would know who quoted you the latest.

Does this not work for you? Please check and report back. I've quoted your post and tagged you as well. You should be receiving the notifications.

Same thing happened to me before Later I found out there are "tabs" on My Activity page which I never got attention of. :bleh:

I keep getting notifications even though I've turned it off via tapatalk, anybody else facing this issue?

^ Use your friend's PC to turn off notifications from a web browser. Notifications is a third party addon, so I dont think tapatalk will support it.

I get mails saying that someone has quoted me, but the link in the mail to the quotes does not take me to the quotes tab. Can that be fixed ?

It is a bit irritating from the user's point of view since you have to perform multiple steps, but it has been working since day 1 for me.
