The Halo 3G comes with its 3G SIM, video calling capability, and large, 17.7-cm (7-inch) screen. But the Halo Edge with its 2G SIM may actually be a better deal. The screen is the same size, but the pixel dimensions are 1024x768, which means more pixels and therefore better clarity. Like the Halo 3G, the SIM supports voice as well as data. It is a thousand rupees cheaper, too.



Both the tablets come with just 4 GB of internal storage (meaning about 2 GB at your disposal), so you are almost compelled to invest in a microSD card at the outset.

Zync Z999

Zync is one of the most prominent names associated with Indian-branded tablets in the country. The Z999 comes with a 17.7-cm (7-inch) capacitive display and runs Android 4.0 aka Ice Cream Sandwich. The device is powered by a 1.5 GHz single core ARM Cortex A8 processor, 512 MB RAM. The tablet sports 2.0 MP rear camera and 0.3 MP front shooter.

Features like 3G, Wi-Fi, HDMI, USB Port, Digital Media Reader and Bluetooth 2.1 are included. The device has flash memory of 8 GB and memory is expandable up to 32 GB. The Z999 is loaded with 4,200 mAh battery.

Micromax Funbook Talk

The Funbook Talk comes preloaded with Android 4.0 aka Ice cream sandwich and sports a 17.7-cm (7-inch) capacitive TFT LCD display with 800x480 pixel resolution. The tablet is powered by a 1 GHz processor with 512 MB RAM.



As the name suggests, the tablet doubles up as a phone, thanks to built-in voice calling and 2G connectivity support. This is the first tablet from the company to do so, with earlier Funbook tablets supporting 3G via USB dongles. It also has a mini HDMI port. The tablet features a VGA front camera and comes with a 2,800mAh battery, claiming up to 5 hours of talk time. The Talk has 4 GB internal storage with expansion options up to 32 GB via microSD card support. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi and 3G dongle support via USB 2.0.

The Funtalk is priced at Rs 7,249.

Huawei MediaPad 7

Huawei will bring its MediaPad 7 Lite in the first week of November at a price of Rs 14,000. This entry level 17.7-cm (7-inch) tablet runs Android 4.0 aka Ice Cream Sandwich and is based on a 1.2 GHz Cortex A8 processor with 1 GB of RAM, 4 GB internal memory, which is expandable up to 32 GB via MicroSD card.


The tablet sports IPS multi-touch display with uni-body design, including a 3.2 megapixel rear camera, and a 0.3 megapixel front camera for video chatting.

The MediaPad 7 is priced at Rs 13,700.

Nice phone. Now-a-days some phones are also coming up with 1GB Ram within 8K. Any updates on them....

xolo q700 is best possible option. my cousin got it @8413 inr from indiatimes. got 12% discount listed price was 9560. yesterday when I checked the list price was 8950 but no discounts applicable..
