Toshiba has launched its new budget 8 inch Windows 8.1 tablet - Toshiba Encore at IFA.
The Toshiba Encore packs a 8 inch IPS display with 1280x800 resolution and runs full Windows 8.1 OS. It is powered by Intel Bay Trail Atom processor, 2GB of RAM and 32/64GB internal storage.
The tablet also comes with 8MP rear camera and 2MP front facing camera with dual microphones. Connectivity options include micro USB 2.0, micro HDMI port, microSD card slot, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-fi a/b/g/n.
The Toshiba Encore is second tablet to be announced with 8 inch display running Windows 8, after Acer Iconia W3 which is similar but priced higher.
The Toshiba Encore will start retailing from November at price from $329.99. At this price the tablet seems to be quite a bargain since it runs full Windows 8 and has pretty good hardware.
