Hello,
My friend want's to buy a laptop need suggestions over it.

1. He is a college student so need laptop for Assignments and Submissions, Skype and internet of course! moderate gaming and movies.

2. Open to buy from United States too so any worthy brand from USA can also work.

3. Most important is the touchscreen, he want's to use digital pen for quick notes over the laptop.

4. Budget is maximum 65k not more than that.

Currently decided is the Dell Studio 17, but it is not listed on Dell's website. He is open to any brand but should be good.

Moderate gaming and movies.

Dell XPS 15 buddy.

The Dell Online Store: Build Your System

But touchscreen laptops? I think your friend needs a Tablet.

Is he open to this?

- A 35k multimedia laptop with 15" screen like Dell Inspiron 15R for movies
- A good 25-30k Tablet for games, notes and his work!

I think both can be accommodated within the 65k budget!

Not exactly for moderate gaming but the ThinkPad X201t or 220t would be the best for using the digitizer (Pen) & has a great battery life. Much cheaper to buy from the US thou.

Sorry but there are no "touchscreen laptops" available in the market. :)
You do have tablets and hybrid notebooks though.
And how did he decide on Studio 17 ? That is not a touchscreen tablet.

Anyways,
+10 @ Comp@ddict's suggestion

Get Inspiron 14/15R + Apple IPAD 2/XOOM/Samsung Galaxy 10.1 new
Don't bother with hybrid laptop/tablet. Better to get both a laptop AND tablet than a half baked hybrid.
P.S. You can easily buy stylus/pen for Apple Ipad 2 and other tablets for as low as 15$
