TP-LINK td-w8961nd wifi range problems.

hi,

i bought a new tp-link td-w8961nd router as my old bsnl wifi+adsl router went kaput,

i did setup the ADSL and it was up in no time, BUT the wifi range is lesser than i use to get from my bsnl wifi router, am i missing anything ?
i have set the transmission power to HIGH in router,

BTW the router is in the same place as bsnl one.

I am having same wi-fi range problems with my new Tp-link wr740n recently bought from flipkart and it does not cover my entire home despite of 5dB antena and 150 mbps N speed inspite my previous belkin G basic router covers my entire home without any problems.I am even thinking of flasing it with Dd-wrt just to increase the range a little bit.http://www.techenclave.com/networking/tp-link-wr740n-v4-dd-138902/

so i am not the only one with this issue, let me know your findings , also we might be wrong in configuring also, let us wait for some reply's from experts.

TPLINK 8951ND user here. FYI the range is not great and even this doesnt do well when compared with the BSNL wifi router.
But it does well when it comes to file transfers. Strange..

But yours being a dual antenna should do good atleast it should be on par with the BSNL one ( BEETEL 450 TC1 ?)

Anyway let me know your wifi configurations. Post a snap of your wifi settings. I hope some tweaking may help...

TP-LINK TL-WN721N user here
range is ok according to my needs
make sure there are not enough obstacles in between
there was an almirah that was causing the range to drop, i removed it and it works a little better
