You have already received our maximum number of allowed shipments. Please download the CD image and record it yourself.

:@.. I had ordered 9.04 four months before..

Ahh to be honest, the hard disk version of installer is much better, as you can just download the image and install from there instead of burning any cd.

Woah woah, where is this installer? I just wrote myself a Karmic disc to install. You're telling me I don't need to burn a CD? How do I do this?

I really appreciate that they have limited the request. Some jerks order just for the heck of it !

After all they have to pay for what you are getting , downloading is much better . Ohh if you can't then wait for magazines :P

I'll download the 9.10 :D

^^Thanks for the tips. Got my request accepted(this will be my 3rd cd request from Ubuntu in the last 1 and half years)

My preferred method is download iso and create Bootable usb installer :D

+1 - this is much faster when used as a live CD also..

Getting one from shipit for "geek value" is a different matter ;) FWIW, I am already on 9.10 beta and it is good (nothing *very* different from 9.04, but incremental improvements).

Demand for Ubuntu CDs is very high, and we're trying to ensure that we have enough CDs for those who really need one. We've noticed that you've already received CDs of several previous Ubuntu releases.

I have been requesting free CD's since 7.10. With every new launch, i requested a CD. But this time they turned me down. :(

i put up a request when it released... the approval was pending and the message of 'load and all busy thingie' was there..
so i canceled the request soon.

and now i received my 9.10 3days ago  ..well that is generous but i have already downloaded it..:P

they take much more time to ship when the request gets approved..

^^ Yeah, they are dispatching it this time (maybe for people who put the request before the policy was made public ?). I got one today.

Thanks for the tip! I got this message though: "We've noticed that you've already received CDs of several previous Ubuntu releases."

Hmm... time to logon to ShipIt/LaunchPad through a new/different account? ;-)
