Hi,

I get the following message when I try to send a PM:
You may only post 10 messages every 3600 minutes.

I am trying to contact Sidhu_21 to inform him that I have deposited his money.

Have I been reported as a spammer or something? I think my post history will show that I don't post extraneous stuff and that I'm not spamming these boards. Is it possible for me to contact this member in any way? I promised I would pay him today and it won't be very nice if he thinks I haven't.
 
You yourself have stated the problem

All new members have this restriction so that they do not spam members Inbox's, restriction is based on post count......
 
I see. The algorithm which determines this should really see if people are replying. If a majority of the messages a new user sends are replied to, it's highly likely it isn't spam, right?

Ah well, just wishing it were that way. Thanks for your help.
 
^ We were forced to implement that limit when there were a lot of bots signing up and mass-PM'ing everyone. Your idea sounds good, but our admins are sleeping :P

The time gap is incorrect anyway, and should've been 1440 mins :P

You can post in his thread to inform him.
 
^Same problem happened to me :(
If your post count is <20 , your storage will only 50 messages (inbox) and the 3600 min restriction will pop up.

Just increase your post count, say 50 or 60 and you will get 250 message inbox and the 3600 min restriction won't come again ;)
