Graphic Cards Unhappy m1210- DxDiag woes

gotmy new m1210 (T2400, 1 GB , Go 7400 ) on Thursday

After doing a format- partition and reinstall of windows +drivers,
i tried installing NFS-MW and the game wouldn't start up at all, tried GTA-SA and it would return an error "can't find 800X600X32"

so i fired up dxdiag and this is what i got:
DirectDraw test results: All tests were successful.
Direct3D 7 test results: All tests were successful.
Direct3D 8 test results: Failure at step 6 (No hardware supported display modes found): HRESULT = 0x80004005 (Generic failure)
Direct3D 9 test results: Failure at step 6 (No hardware supported display modes found): HRESULT = 0x80004005 (Generic failure)

(i am using version 84.29 driver for the video card)

any ideas why? :(
 
did u install all the drivers?
make sure that mobo drivers are installed & u have the latest dx9c.

also did u get the right drivers for the 7400? i think go drivers are diff than the normal 1's
 
Thanks guys, it turned out to be a beta driver problem. I had powermizer enabled (The Go series drivers have a utility called POwermizer that underclocks the GPU when running on battery ) and the beta driver had some issue with Powermizer

Driver update fixed the issue :)
