Updating HTC Wildfire

Hi Guys,

I have a HTC Wildfire with 2.2 eclair.

Can HTC Wildfire be updated from Android 2.2 (eclair) to Android 2.3 (gingerbread) and what will be advantages of 2.3 Gingerbread

since the horsepower of HTC Wildfire is 580 mhz

if there is a process let me and will the HTC sense remain or will it go away after update.

Wildfire does not have an Official HTC gingerbread release..

but you can install the CyanogenMod 7.1 ROM... which is based on the latest gingerbread version 2.3.7...

Yes, you will loose HTC Sense with this... but its far better and faster than the stock HTC ROM

Thanks Neville for the response but can you mention the steps through which I can update and if possible how to revert back to the original 2.2 version as before if it does not suits me....
