Graphic Cards upgrade from 8400GS

I have Palit 8400GS 512mb DDR2 with me which is slow as IE. i want to upgrade to something better like HD5450
Max. budget is 2-2.5k ,
CPU-Pentium 4 3.0ghz Cedar Mill 631
1gb Ram Dynet ddr2
160gb sata HDD seagate
and local 400W PSU that comes with cabinet.

Get something like the 9600 GT, as anything above that would be an overkill because of your CPU. Good luck
