Upgrading from ZOTAC GTX 1050 ti ... HELP

Go with RTX card for DLSS, no doubt. I hear due to less stock of 3050 and surplus of 3060, prices of the latter are very near to that of 3050. So better take 3060 instead if you find that's the case.

and budget is always better than a few fps's (for me)
obviously if I had the money i would've gone for the 3050 eyes closed
1050ti just can't stream my game
and i will need to upgrade my processor too
currently on a i5 6500 / GTX 1050 ti / 16gb ram / SSD
i have to give 15k more for a 3050...
you guys think its worth it?

Can you actually share the prices at which you are getting both of the cards? There isn't a 15k price difference between these cards as far as I see on pcpricetracker. RTX 3050 should be the default choice here but if it costs 15K more then no, it is not worth it. One can always make do with FSR if DLSS is not available.
Yup you made the right choice imo. 3050 warrants a 4-5k premium over the 1660 series but 15k is a bit too much.

Could have gone with used 2060 if you tried to find one. That DLSS would come a long way.
Btw how much did you get the 1660 for?
