Budget 0-20k Upgrading Sata SSD to NNMe

Currently I have W10 installed on Crucial MX500 250gb and now I am thinking to replace it with 250gb NVMe drive, Also I need another 1 TB Nvme or Sata (if budget issue) drive to install all remaining softwares and games so that will keep my OS drive almost free

Need advice which one to buy, I was thinking to delay my purchase but looks like SSD price are going to increase so its better to buy right now. Correct me if I am wrong.

A- 250 gb nvme (maybe gen 4?)
B- 1 Tb nvme or sata SSD (I can compromise the speed for this drive since this is my work PC and 90% usage is browsing)

Processor - R5 3600
Motherboard - Gigabyte B550M DS3H

You don't need gen4 SSD.

Buy P1, A2000, 970 evo plus depending on your budget. SSD prices have increased a lot recently because of cryptocurrencies but A2000 went for as low as, 8.5k, 970 evo plus for 10k.

I wasn't thinking gen4 for 1TB as
1. It will be costly
2. I really don't need top class performance for Games/Softwares that are used occasionally

but if real world performance is not noticeable then won't go for it
WD SN550 250GB - 3573/- https://www.amazon.in/Western-Digit...d=1&keywords=250GB+Nvme&qid=1621743525&sr=8-4
Kingston 250GB A2000 - 3995/- https://www.amazon.in/Kingston-Internal-2000MB-SA2000M8-250G/dp/B07VYG5HQD?th=1

Both are below 4k, which one should I go for also for 1TB

WD SN550 1TB - 8850/- https://www.amazon.in/Western-Digit...ild=1&keywords=1TB+Nvme&qid=1621743929&sr=8-4
Crucial P1 1TB - 8783/- https://www.amazon.in/Crucial-1TB-N...ild=1&keywords=1TB+Nvme&qid=1621743929&sr=8-3

Crypto is only supposed to affect high end drives and not consumer level NVMe, but this is India [emoji849]
1TB A2000 increased by 1k on Amazon yesterday.
There's a MP600 Gen 4 for sale in the MP here

WD SN550 250GB - 3573 (final) now for 1TB between WD SN550 and Crucial P1 as price difference is negligible
Which one to go?

Yes but its 500GB @8.5k where as I am getting 1TB for same price. No point initiating a bargain seeing listed price

SN550 is TLC and P1 is QLC. But both are in the same tier as per tier lists, not sure sure how much of a difference is there in real world performance.

Also what happened Intel SSDs? At least I don't see them on Amazon

a week back, i was looking for 1tb nvme and found -
Gigabyte Gen3 1TB 2500/2100 MBPS - Rs. 8950 - cheapest nvme, TLC, dram-less, 79th in the Newmaxx sheet
Gigabyte Aorus Gen4 1TB 5000/4400 MBPS - Rs. 12000 - cheapest gen4, TLC, dram, number 75 in below Newmaxx sheet

So imo, it makes sense to get a Gen4 ssd for just 3k more even if you don't have a gen4 m.2 slot. Though, now the prices have increased to 14k for the gen4 one but you can ask some local shop if they still have some stock at lower prices.

Been looking at some lists since morning and Gigabyte was one I didn't know about much. But it looks good (I can't find it for 9K though). Seems to go under the radar as SN550 and A2000 are more well known and often recommended.
I'll also throw in Adata SX8200/S11Pro and S50/Lite
Have to check some reviews to compare all.

Edit: Removed Lite version. Everything depends on the controller and NAND in these is what I learnt.
Note: It looks like there are multiple versions of the Adata SX8200 series, Adata did a switcheroo so you are not guaranteed to get the one with the best controller.

There seems to be 2 versions of this Aorus Gen 4. One without any heatsink and one with a copper heatsink. The Sheet also refers to the one with heatsink specifically, which is way more expensive. Regardless, the controllers in both seem to be the same per product description but need to confirm. Yep, look like heatsink is the only difference.

Long time bro, How are you?

Do you think its worth spending 2k more for these drives then SN550? also what about my primary drive for OS
Fine until now
Though my sister got covid and is recovering from it, got lucky
Her entire family got infected via her hubby but recovered

I bought Intel 660p 1tb nvme ssd in October,2019 and its working great until now
I am using it as my primary and only drive

I think going with either of the drives is good
And going with Samsung 970 evo 250gb as primary drive is much better for you since you do a lot of online job works
