Forum Feedback Uploading bandwidth-friendly low-res pics!

Been noticing this trend off-lately - most newbies seem to upload sheer bandwidth hungry pics to the thread. I need not point fingers here - we already have classic instances of the same!

Is there a way we could limit the resolution of the pics being put up? Yeah we do know it scales down once all the pics've been completely loaded but this's sacrilege - putting up close to 10 images at 6~7 MP resolution! I honestly believe 1024x768 is a fairly good resolution for the discerning human eye to see the stuff and most of its details to a fair extent.

If they're adamant enough not to put up scaled-down images, let them put up thumbnails instead!

Or at least a *56k warning* sorts in the title?

We are already considering the situation and most of us are annoyed with those high resolution images that members post just after copying from digital/phone cam.

It is very annoying and members should understand that we live in India where internet scenario is pretty despairing . We are trying our best but members should cooperate too. But if this keeps on going we have to resort to infraction

Totally agree with you DS! We've already had a huge debate over the ISPs & the speeds with immense participation from greenhorn, shripad, XT IIRC! I do not want this thread to go in the same lines but would love some sincere action being implemented ASAP!

Really, this is getting very irritating. Every other market thread has humungous pics



My suggestion for market section, One medium size image say ~700 x 500 and thumbs for all other images.
